According to an iranian human rights group (tweet below) two men were executed the last Sunday after being found guilty of charges related to homosexuality. The two men, 32 years old, were arrested six years ago and executed on Sunday 31st january, 2022 in Maragheh prisonin northwestern Iran.
The Theocracy killed at least 47 seven people since the beginning of january 2022, increasing at least 31 deaths in the same month of the last year. According to the British LGGBTIQA+ activist Peter Tatchell the two men had faced “disputed charges after unfair trial”.

Iran’s Islamic Penal Code, punishes consensual same-sex sexual relations and activities by penalties ranging from flogging to the death penalty.
